APPOINTMENTS
Appointments without Referral
If you make an appointment on your own initiative, without doctors referral, you will be covered only by Private Health Funds, but your doctor will not have to assess you.
Appointments with GP Referral
If you want to access psychological therapies under the Medicare scheme, your doctor will need to assess your mental health and you will need a referral from your GP. If you receive a referral and a GP Mental Health Care Plan (item 2710) from your GP you are entitled to a Medicare rebate up to $124.50 per session for maximum of 10 individual sessions per calendar year.
PAYMENT & FEES
Accepted forms of payment
EFTPOS, Visa, MasterCard, Bankcard, and cash.
Fee Structure
Based on the professional association, the APS (Australian Psychological Society website), but flexibility will be applied when required.
